As I first started to observe I noticed that since it has been getting closer to fall less birds have been drinking out the pond, and been all going to the bird feeder only a few feet away. What I did focus on was my fish, and how they were all popping their heads out of the water begging for food. It's funny how fish know their routine. Do they really know based on the daylight? Or were they just randomly hungry and knew someone was their to feed them? Right now we have one Koi, and two goldfish. I took a video on feeding them that morning.
I also heard one jump at of the water as my back was turned. Why do they do that?
I'm looking forward into exploring what else I will discover. I would love to learn about the birds that come and visit, and how life forms even if it started by a man.
I want your yard. Your dad's amazing. I love the little building thing. Ok, about the fish: how often do you feed them? Do you have to? I always thought they just ate bugs and stuff. I know nothing about fish so I look forward to what you discover. Thanks for the video. Great blog.
ReplyDeleteI really like the video because it makes me feel as if I was actually there feeding them too. I have fishes as well but mine are in a fish tank. I think it's amazing how the fishes get all jumpy when someone gets close by. It seems as if they already knew they are getting fed. I would really like to know more about how you take care of your fishes. Awesome Blog.
ReplyDeleteI have an uncle that has 5 koi fishes in his backyard pond too! I believe he has had them in his pond for a couple of months now. The weather is changing and the temperature is starting to drop but he thought that , the water decreasing would slow them down not speed them up! He told me that the koi fishes jump because of the temperature change and because they're hungry. Who knows though? Koi fish are interesting. I'm looking forward to reading more of your blogs!
ReplyDeleteI really like how your voice comes out in your writing. Also I just love your koi fish and I really wonder if it's true when it comes close to winter the koi can actually freeze and in summer thaw out and still be alive.
